Sexy, sweaty neck, anyone? No? Perhaps not. If you’re out of ideas for getting your lusciously long hair off your neck, then you’ve come to the right place. Now that the weather, finally, is heating up, we’ll all be looking for really quick, simple and easy ways to keep our hair up
Top Knot
For the ultimate hair-off-the-neck updo, try a top knot. Super cool in more ways than one, there are so many ways to rock this look. Either just do a standard bun on the top of your head, or try a plait bun for something a little different.
Scarf
Using a patterned or brightly coloured scarf is great for a bit of summer brightness, and they can be used in so many ways to get your hair off your neck. For a really easy and effective do, tie the scarf around your head over your hair, and tuck your hair back up into it.
Side Plait
Fancy channelling Elsa? Go for it! A side plait is a great way to keep your hair swept off your neck, while still looking super girlie and showing off the length you’ve spent so long working on.
Chignon
If you’re after something that looks classy but is wonderfully effortless and easy, the chignon is the perfect updo for you! First, tie your hair in a low ponytail, then tuck your ponytail back in on itself twice and hey, presto!
Ponytail
Sometimes it’s good to go back to basics, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned ponytail. Mix things up a bit and try a different height, or go super-straight or try some soft curls.
Trio Bun
For an everyday effortlessly casual yet pretty look, try the trio bun. Just section your hair into three equal sections and tie each in a low ponytail. Then, tie each ponytail into a bun. Tease and rough-up a little, and you’re good to go.
Two Plait Updo
Two pigtail plaits, clipped across the bottom of your hairline just above the nape of your neck. Pretty, effortless and simple.
