Summers are here and I can feel the warmth in the air. I am so excited to finally be able to enjoy warm days, bask in the sunshine, and wear cute summer clothes. Summers are all about colours, prints, light and breathable fabrics. We get very limited nice summer days in the UK, so I am always looking forward to summer fashion trends that I can rock for those days. I like my clothes evergreen, trendy and versatile. No matter what the weather is, I am inclined towards pieces and styles that can be used in various ways. So, here are summer trends to try this season. Find more fashion blogs here.

Crop tops

No summer wardrobe is complete without crop tops. They are chic, stylish and are perfect for chill summer days. No matter if they are paired with jeans or skirts, they look good and there are many fun styles to choose from. I like wearing my crop tops with high waisted jeans or shorts. For someone who wants to wear a crop top but is not comfortable with showing too much skin, layering it with a thin overshirt is a good styling option.

Wide leg trousers

The 80s wide leg trousers made a comeback sometime back and they are here to stay. I love their silhouette & how structured they are. Their retro and vintage vibes takes things to another level. They are comfy and are ideal for both casual outings and formal affairs. One can style them with a solid or graphic t-shirt for a relaxed, laid back look and with a nice feminine blouse/shirt for a more elegant & fancy look.

Puff Sleeves

I am a big fan of puff sleeves, as they are enough to add a style statement to a boring outfit. They are dramatic, romantic and scream feminine. Whether it’s a puff sleeves dress or a top, it can be styled effortlessly as the sleeves are the star of the show. They instantly grab attention and make heads turn. When it comes to puff sleeves, structure and shape is everything so go for fabric that does justice to the trend.

Pastel Colours

Summers are a time to flaunt colourful outfits and pretty pastel hues are the trend of the season. Pastel colours are subtle but are bright enough to standout and catch the eye. Having pastel colours in the wardrobe is a must as they add a pop of colour without being too much in the face and look classy. Pastel colours can be easily styled with neutral colours, prints, denim, deeper colours and even other pastel tones.

Oversized Overshirts

Oversized overshirts have been around for quite some time now and I find them so practical and easy to carry. On the lazy days when picking an outfit is a struggle, they come in handy. I personally love checkered overshirts, as they are a good addition to a basic look. They can be worn over basic leggings, shorts, dresses or over swimsuits. One can also steal a shirt from their partner’s wardrobe and turn it into an oversized overshirt.

Tiered Dresses

Tiered, flowy dresses are a staple for summers and I think every woman in the world embraces them. They are romantic, flirty and incredibly versatile. I like mini tiered dresses as they look super cute & casual, but one can go for midi or maxi depending on what length they prefer. They can be paired with sneakers or strappy sandals and can be easily dressed up or down just by playing around with the accessories.

Square-Toe sandals

The 90s Square-Toe sandals have been ruling the fashion world since their comeback and can be seen almost everywhere. These geometric shaped sandals come in many different styles and look high-fashion & effortlessly chic. They are comfortable to wear and go perfectly with everything, be it dresses, trousers, or jeans. For a casual look choose flat slide ons and for a fancy look go for block or pencil heels.

Summer is my favourite season, you want to know why? Because I get to wear all my floral pieces, cute dresses and lot’s of bright colours. How to Create Your Own Stunning Summer Look

Summertime and vacationing are a match made in heaven. This divine combination is may be responsible for our overstuffed wardrobes. Let’s be honest – how many times do we buy clothes, shoes, or accessories thinking, “this will look so good on a beach vacation” or “hey, this outfit will really help beat the heat”? Countless, I’m sure.

But the art to smart shopping and intelligent fashion is having a ready-to-go capsule wardrobe which comprises of essentials that can create multiple looks. You basically curate a set of clothes and accessories that are versatile, stylish, and oh-so-comfy. I have a holiday capsule wardrobe for summer vacationing, most of it comprising clothes and accessories by Hush, which is a lovely brand for summer-wear. I simply love funky footwear and nothing looks better than a pair of sneakers with interesting detailing. They are a great choice for summer vacations since you can walk in them all day long, without getting tired. I would recommend getting a pair in a neutral shade that is sure to complement multiple outfits, including evening-wear.

Printed Culottes

Culottes have become oft-worn office attire but in my opinion, they are equally well-suited for casual wear. In fact, I would probably carry a pair of culottes on vacations over jeans since they are more comfortable, and also quite edgy. Printed culottes look even better in matching sets, and a great option for lounging in the hotel or a coffee-shop when vacationing.

A Basket-Style Bag

Hobo bags have been a popular choice for summertime vacationing. But if you want something edgier, more distinctive, a basket-style bag would be an ideal choice. They are roomy, sturdy, and easy to clean. Be it on the beach, the hills, a cab, or a bus, a basket-style bag would be both an asset as a carry-all, and fashion statement as an accessory.

Summer Holiday Look with Aspiga

Summer is finally here, and I could not be more excited! Warm weather means that I can break out the bright colours, floral prints, open toe sandals…the works. But the best part is that I can finally wear fabrics that I don’t get to wear for the rest of the year – textiles like linen, crochet and cotton, to name a few. Cotton, in particular, is one of my go-to fabrics in warm weather – it’s lightweight and breathable, which means that it helps you stay relatively cool when it’s hot outside.

Furthermore, I am a big believer in the ‘less is more’ mantra when it comes to staying cool in warm weather. I love to wear shorts instead of long pants and feel the most comfortable in a loose, soft cotton shirt. The beautiful Camila Cotton Blouse by Aspiga is right up my street. Linen is another great fabric to wear in the summer because it’s relatively heat resistant and allows your skin to breathe as well. These shorts were the perfect complement to the embroidered blouse, but you could just as easily pair them with a loose cotton shirt or a printed camisole as well – they are super versatile, stylish and comfortable. What more does a girl need?

Now, when it comes to footwear in the summertime, I love a good strappy sandal. All seasons are beautiful as they all bring a peace and happiness of its own kind. Still, summer time is usually the best, as it not only give us a beautiful tan but tons of memories.

I love this season and tend to enjoy summer days by hiking in the woodland or just strolling around the parks and soaking up the sun while watching the flowers bloom. Or even plan a small picnic by the river in the park with family.

An upcoming trend this season is the denim jacket. Denim is a way of life. Wearing a denim is always a good idea. Demin is like love, it’s always in. You don’t ever have to think twice it’s always in and on trend.

Summer is all about looking hot while staying cool. Fortunately, this year’s looks are very wearable and would work well with a wide range of body types and personalities. Plus, these style suggestions are easy to pull off and they’ll keep you cool as the temperatures rise. The last thing you want is to feel claustrophobic or stuck (literally) to your clothes, so billowy and breezy choices are the way to go. Leave the form-fitting looks for after the sun goes down, along with the high heels, and you’ll avoid common fashion faux pas that summer weather tends to cause. This cute, versatile checked pattern is reminiscent of picnics in the park and other warm weather outings, yet it would also look great incorporated into a daytime work wardrobe. For the office, choose blue gingham trousers and pair with a crisp white-button down for a fresh office look.

Glamorous Glitter
Perfect for going out on those balmy summer nights is the sequin trend that was so popular on the SS 2016 runways. Part of several designers’ resort wear collections, WWD’s editors are huge fans of all things that sparkle. From form-fitting and sequin-embellished tanks that would look great tucked into maxi skirts, to sparkly skinny pants paired with a blazer, this is definitely a wearable trend.
