Recently I was invited by the Resorts World in Birmingham, one of the perfect leisure destinations in town to experience a spread of their bars, restaurants, spa services, cinema, hotel and fashion labels like H&M, GAP, Next, Nike and so on.
Located near the Birmingham Airport and NEC (National Exhibition Center), Resorts World is a great place when to visit if you are in town for an exhibition or business meeting or don’t want to drive into the hustle bustle of Birmingham for a fun time. It is also a perfect destination for a day out with family, friends or a date night since the mall has so many food, shopping and fun activities.

The mall has a host of options from shops such as Phase Eight, Windsor London, Northface and many more, to eating outlets like Costa Coffee, Nandos, Pizza Express, Andy Waters, Sky Bar, Robata Bar & Grill, Las Iguanas and more.
The Genting Hotel is a good option to spend the night if you have to take a flight next day. They even have a children’s play area so it’s a great place to be with your kids too. But the best part about the property is that it is a lakeside property, it is located next to the Pendigo Lake which gives adds a very serene and calm look.
I started my day with a cup of hot coffee at Costa Coffe and then went on to have a relaxing time at the Santai Spa in the Genting Hotel. I was totally pampered with their services like head massage, facial, and facilities like heated pool, hot bed and outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake.
After my de-stressing spa experience I went with my husband for a date to Robata Bar and Grill for High Tea. Robata is a luxurious fusion restaurant which serves Pan-Asian Delicacies. I had an evening filled with delicious beverages and mouth-water dishes. Then we ended the day with a movie at Cineworld.
Since there is so much to do there you can begin your day with a relaxing spa, have high tea in Robata Bar and Grill and end your day by trying your luck at the Genting Casino. If you don’t want to spend the entire day at Resorts World, then you can also visit with your friends for some retail therapy and a brunch since they have a lot of yummy food options to choose from.
It’s also a great place to visit with your family. You can have lunch at one of the eateries, take your kids to Hamley’s or the play area, watch a movie at Cineworld and end the day. Apart from this they also have offers and themes running around the year so it’s a good location to go and visit again and again.
Have you ever been to Resorts World? Let me know your experience in the comments below.
Santai Spa is a luxury spa equipped with state of the art facilities to relax and rejuvenate your mind and soul. Apart from the traditional spa facilities like body massage, skin rejuvenation, hair removal, facial and more, they have their own ionized salt cave which can be accessed through the outdoor hot tub overlooking the Pendigo Lake. The other facilities at the spa also include a 15-metre pool, sauna, gym and an experience shower.
At the reception, I was greeted warmly by the staff and offered a welcome drink with locker facility. Post the formalities I was taken to the changing room which was equipped with everything, from towels to shower gels. The changing room had it all. Brownie points for the place to be super clean. I really enjoyed the treatment.

The high tea comes at the cost of £19.50 for the non-alcoholic option and £24.50 with cocktails per person. They also have champagne and other options available. The menu is extensive and has a right balance of sweet and savory bites with a Pan Asian twist to the delicacies.
SECOND WAVE – Served with your choice of Nespresso coffee or Newby of London tea

I highly recommend the high tea at Robata Bar & Grill. It’s a must try experience even if you have tried high tea before, as it’s very different from the others.
Space wise, House Leamington deserves to be called lavish, as it offers three bars along with four additional sitting areas that serve diverse needs. The sitting area comprises of a restaurant link sitting, an open terrace for smoke lovers and a roof-top garden where guests can enjoy lit fire during winter nights. Another one is a secret room for private get-together and parties so that guests can have a nice time on their own. While the outdoor sitting works for people who prefer open air, the indoors are great for groups and parties. House Leamington is an awesome place for children too.

Loch Ness: is the home of the world’s most famous monster, Nessie, a green creature which resides in the deep waters of the lake. But this does not stop tourists from visit the place, instead the story just adds to the attraction. You can a boat trip from Inverness or Fort Augustus and keep a look out for the large green monster.

Generally the produce available and other details are listed on the website of various farms. Also, there are several farms in UK that one can visit.
This town is more up market than Stoke Fleming and Dartmouth and has some really nice boutiques shops, bars, cafes and restaurants which offer local cuisines. If you are an adrenaline junkie then Salcombe offers a variety of water sports. You can easily hire facilities like catamaran sailing, dinghy sailing close to the beach, canoeing, wind surfing, and one can also hire equipment and tools for scuba diving and you can explore the marine wildlife and local shipwrecks around. If you like to enjoy the sea then you can also sign up for one of the sailing courses or rent a power boat and spend some time away from land or can hop on to one of the colorful ferries which operate between South Sand and Whitestand Quay in Salcombe. We did boating in Salcombe and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

The beach is also surrounded with a picturesque countryside backdrop. You can walk around to soak up the culture and explore the town. The country side has the most magnificent view. If you plan to spend the night at Salcombe then there are also plenty of accommodation choices from swish hotels to campsites. Now talking about facilities, the car parking is very close to the beach and there are facilities for the disabled. South Sands is actually part of a bay so you’re sheltered from the harsh sea winds, but at the same time you can lie back, soak up the rays and enjoy the breeze.
A fun fact about the town, the south Devon resort of Salcombe, dubbed Chelsea-on-Sea, has made a surprise entry in a list of UK millionaire hotspots as rising demand for second homes has driven up property prices.
Whoever you are and whatever you like, Dartmouth has something for everyone. From a family holiday, romantic weekend getaway to a spring break with colleagues or friends, Dartmouth is always a good idea. One can explore the Elizabethan streets, bustling markets, independent shops, and enjoy the gourmet restaurants, art galleries, bistros, cozy cafes and bars.
I stayed in Stoke Fleming and we easily drove into town for a day out or even a quick bite in the evening. Thoug you can easily take a bus to Dartmouth as well. The bus ride is comfortable and short, since the travel time between Stoke Fleming to Dartmouth is only 10 – 15 minutes.
Dartmouth is a port with lots of options with boating. One can fish, sail and explore by boat. You can also laze around in the parks nearby or mooch around the river dart and the quayside. There is an activity for everyone including wakeboarding, crabbing, coastal wildlife exploring, kayaking or a ferry ride on the river or steam train ride. Dartmouth also has a lovely market and play areas or parks for children. I truly enjoyed shopping in the market and also had a chance to visit a few good restaurants like Spice Bazaar, George and Dragon Pub and more.
Dartmouth also has a vibrant culture and festivals and events happening all year round. You can explore the heritage of England at the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth Castle, Agatha Christie’s National Trust house and more. A fun fact, the Queen met her future husband at the Britannia Royal Naval College.
Even though we were staying in Stoke Fleming, there are a lot of hotels available in Dartmouth. One can stay in any style, from a luxury spa hotel to historic inns, B&B’s to self catering cottages.
During my visit to this wonderful place I was wearing a cold shoulder printed top with white capris. I preferred keeping my accessories and makeup minimal as I wanted a more natural and sun kissed look.
This is definitely a place to visit if you are travelling to Devon.
One of the places I visited during my stay in Devon was the Stoke Fleming and Blackpool sand beach. Stoke Fleming is a small village in South Devon and Blackpool Sands is a private beach with Venus Café. The beach is surrounded by pines and evergreens. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Devon. The only downside for me personally was that it is pebbly beach and not a sandy one but has lovely turquoise blue sea.The water is clean and clear and superb if you love swimming. During the summers the beach is cleaned regularly.
The beach has various activities like rafting, wet suits, kayaking and stand up paddle boards for hire. You can also enjoy a range of delicious cuisine at Venus café. The Café offers locally produced and organic food which is delicious and also has a beach shop where one can buy beach games and goods. The beach is also equipped with refreshing shower facilities, toilets and disabled facilities.
The beach also hosts several summer events and the cafe is open in the evenings for dinner for July & August, making it a perfect summer getaway. Overall Stoke Fleming and Blackpool Sands beach has something for everyone. It is definitely a must visit if you are in Devon.
Now talking about my outfit. I wore a dark pink dress with a floral head band. I was aiming for a very bohemian and beachy look. Bright colored dresses are perfect for a day out in the sun. One of the most important things that you should wear when going to the beach is sunscreen. Also sandals and slippers are a great option for the beach. I tried to keep my makeup minimal and let my outfit do the talking. PS:- forgot to click pictures during the day, got so busy enjoying the sun and water games

Here are the 10 places you must visit in Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires:
Blenheim Palace

The Sheldonian Theater

Everyone loves taking trips to major destinations like London, Scotland or Oxford when it comes to visit United Kingdom, often visiting mainstream spots like the London Eye, Madam Tussauds, the Buckingham palace and other such popular places. However, UK has a lot more to offer than these traditional destinations. Through my blog I aim to showcase the eccentric but real and culturally rich English destinations on my blog, because UK as a country is full of beautiful places to see.

The wildlife park and the gardens have something for every age group. It has several exciting exhibits like; The reptile house, Madagascar, the Walled Garden, The wood walk, Tropical House, Train, Adventure playground, and Bat House among a few other attractions.
Nestled in Cotworld, the park is surrounded by serene beauty. The drive to the location is really pleasant and filled with natural beauty, since it is located away from the hustle and bustle of city lights. It’s a great place to spend the weekend with family or spouse, and have a picnic in the midst of nature. The best part about this place is that it is not a proper zoo. The animals are kept in lovely enclosures which were well maintained and clean with plenty of space for them to move around. The walk around the attractions is exquisite and you can get up close to the animals.
You can see Turtles, Rhinos, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras and other magnificent creatures. The giraffe enclosure has a ramp, where you can walk up and be at eye level with the animal. The farm animal section is also lovely and reminds me of old countryside farms. The park also has a nice play area for the kids with a small helter skelter. I decided to let the child in me out and enjoy the ride, it was probably my first time on such a ride and I was scared to death. But enjoyed none the less, also I love mini trains as it always reminds me of my childhood days. The park has an entrance fee of £ 15 for adults, which is reasonable for the experience they provide.
Overall, I had a really positive experience and would recommend anyone visiting UK to spend a nice sunny day having a picnic in Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens.
