If you have been following my blog then you must have noticed this summer has been all about beaches for me. I love a beach destination for the summers. It’s a great way to relax, rejuvenate and get some tan during your summer break. From all my travels this summer I have come up with a list of outfits which are perfect for a beach vacation. So read on and slay the beach look with these must-have outfits:
Tunic: Summer wear is what comes to mind when I think of tunics. They are one of the most comfortable outfits for summer. What makes tunics a go-to outfit for me is that it is so versatile and flatters every body type. You can style it as a dress, as a short kurti over palazzo pants or shorts and even with trousers for work wear. You can even wear it as a beach cover up and get some tan while reading a romantic novel by the ocean.

Off-Shoulder Outfit: Off-shoulder tops are popular on the runway as well as on the streets. Off-shoulder tops are flirty, feminine and look great with shorts as well as a midi skirt. You can pair it with statement accessories to jazz it up for a dinner date or wear it with ripped shorts for a day on the beach. Go for a lacy top with intricate designs to keep it feminine and fun. For a chic look team a flowy top with high-waist shorts, slip on shoes and fun accessories.

Staple White Top: White is a great color for summer. I like carrying a few short tops or kurtas with me on a beach vacation. You can go for a contemporary look by pairing a white chikan work top with a pair of denim or cotton pants when sight-seeing.

Cold Shoulder Top: Another popular trend this spring summer is the cold shoulder trend. If you aren’t comfortable baring your shoulders in an off-shoulder top then this is the trend for you. It’s quirky, fun and very chic. You can opt for a cold shoulder top with bell sleeves or ruffled sleeves to add more drama to your outfit. Don’t just restrict this trend to a top you can also wear a dress with cold shoulder sleeves for a beachy look.

Maxi Dress: I love wearing maxi dresses. This breezy style is one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I can wear it as a cover-up over a bikini or team it with an embellished belt for a night out. I prefer going for printed maxi dresses in vibrant shades.

Long Shirt or Shirt Dress: Is a fuss free outfit in your beach vacation wardrobe. You can wear a long shirt or a shirt dress for a day at the beach, a casual affair or even date. I prefer shirts in linen material as it helps the skin breathe and keeps me cool in the rising temperatures. You can pair a long shirt with a pair of skinny jeans or shorts and slip on sandals or wear it as it is with a belt for a fitted look.

Sleeveless Jackets: Cover ups are essential for a beach holiday. Since it would be too hot for jackets I suggest a sleeveless jacket in net or crochet material to slip on over your crop top or bikini top and shorts. You can also opt for long sleeveless jackets in chiffon in colorful floral prints as a beach cover up.

Also at times we all have long work days, where you don’t have a traditional 9 to 5 job and don’t know if you would get time to go back home and change or if you are doing late night and then want to grab a drink post work with your friends then you need to be ready for the after party. Also, it not just about your work timings, but a lot of people live away from central London and travel to work and the busy metro life can suck the energy out of you. So make sure your social life doesn’t go down the drain because you don’t feel dressed up for the occasion.
Generally, to tackle the fast pacing city life and avoid traffic I tend to follow a few hacks when I have a plan post work and can’t go back home to change. I generally prefer carrying a big bag like a tote to work where I can haul up all that I need to go through the day. It’s pretty spacious and you can carry a lot of things with you on the go. I carry my makeup, a small coverup, iPad, as well as flats as a change when I plan to walk miles around or get tired of wearing my heels. You can also carry a fancy top to wear on top of your trousers or a simple dress. If you don’t want to carry extra outfits you can carry some accessories to jazz up your outfit like chunky bracelets or a statement necklace.

I paired the bag with an off-shoulder blue dress with ruffled sleeves by Bardot, from Top Shop. Off-shoulders are in this season plus you can take them from day wear to night wear with simple accessories like a necklace or footwear and a cover up. I teamed up the dress with black peep-toe sandals from French Connection and a black choker. I kept my accessories to a minimum by wearing a watch since flashy jewellery isn’t appropriate for work. But for an evening look, you can always add some accessories like rings, necklace and bracelet.

You can go for so many trends from bohemian to sporty chic. For me, spring is one of the fav. Seasons and experimenting with colours. Last weekend, on a day out I opted for a blue fringe trim tribal jacket with embroidered tape from Shein.com. I have styled this jacket with a dark t-shirt, chunky boho necklace and distressed crop jeans.

If you have a long baggy knit jumper, then you can even pair it with tights and metallic sneaker for a night out in town with your girls. For a classic look, pair a knit sweat over a plaid shirt and jeans with low top sneakers and a tote bag. Now that you know how to get comfy this spring, its time to go out and experiment with casual and stylish looks this season.

During this season when it’s chilly outside, I prefer adding a colourful or textured scarf to make the outfit fun. They are soft, warm and extremely cosy. Scarves are so versatile, and one can get them in all types of prints, colours and lengths. And the best bit is that there are endless ways one can wear them as. Replace it for a necklace or wear it as a headgear, a scarf is one of those things which can change your entire look.

For my second look, I paired my two part floral spot snood scarf with my jumper and skinny jeans. This is a lightweight scarf which is stylish and perfect for spring. I wrapped the scarf around my neck in a double loop and kept it mid-length. In the double loop style, you loop the scarf twice around your neck and tie the loose ends under the loop for a structured look. You can see both the prints when you loop it like this; it keeps your hands free, it looks stylish plus it’s super easy.
