Have you ever faced any of those days where you have to meet your friends for a casual brunch and then head to the office for some work. Dressing up for such days can be a little tricky. You don’t want to look out of place at any of those occasions. So I styled an outfit which is perfect for a girl’s day out and office wear. This is a chic style which take can you from brunch to beyond.

I paired a black full sleeves blouse with a bow neck along with a classic pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a statement bag. Tuck it in with a plain black belt, and you are good to go for work. For a presentation or a meeting, you can also tie up your hair for a more formal look. For a brunch or a day out with your girls, you can keep it casual by keeping the blouse tucked out, throw on some basic makeup and style your hair in beachy waves. This outfit is also appropriate for autumn. There is some light breeze, and it gets a little cold by the evening, so the full sleeves and boots come in handy.
The most important aspect of any outfit is comfort and he most comfortable thing about my outfit was the boots. Well you might think I am trying to sell the shoes here, but no that is what I said to my hubby dear after walking in London for more than 15 km in a day “I can wear these shoes all day long.”
I got these boots from Hotter.com, who design and make all types of shoes for both men and women. The boots were brand new and even without breaking into these they were extremely comfortable. Generally, for most shoes, you need to break into them to make them comfortable and avoid any shoe bites. The first few time you are bound to get some sores or bruises. That is why I even carry Compeed in my bag, which I usually use when I am out in heels walking all day long or have bruises from new shows. But I honestly didn’t feel the need to swap, not with these new babies. I wore these shoes all day long and still no ache or no discomfort.
I rank them highly on comfort which is a winner and will make you wear your shoes again and again. It’s been two weeks since I have had them and it is only by force or them not matching with the outfit that I have to wear something else. These boots are perfect for the season as they keep my feet nice and warm. Plus they are super comfortable and snuggly.

Braun India Fashion Week London is a platform which brings together renowned and upcoming British, Asian, and Indian designers from across the world. The event was launched by Bhumika & Jyoti whose designs showcased opulent shades of cream and gold lehengas, capes and dresses with intricate gold work. Next up was BiBi London fashion house which had a versatile collection of florals in deep wintery colours designed by several designers. The event also welcomed new comers like Intri Printi and J’Adore Adorn who walked the ramp with finesse. Their first collection was vibrant and decorated with traditional and modern embellishments and embroideries. The show was concluded by Abha Choudhary, Ashok Maanay and Studio AV. Abha’s ‘Suhaag’ collection, bridal couture was inspired by rich Indian cultural elements.
I attended day 2 of the fashion week. The day began with designer Svetlana Casper showcasing her Eclipse collection with modish free flowing printed designs in black and white which was followed by elegant creations of bold lehengas by Valour Rose. The final catwalk showcased stunning designs from the Varna Collection inspired by the royals rolled out by Ravita Mayor which was flaunted by her showstopper, James Lee Taylor. Next was AlpaReena whose designs were an infusion of traditional and contemporary styles which was then followed by the grand finale designer Rocky S. He is a renowned designer who has designed outfits for Paris Hilton, Beyonce and the Pussy cat dolls. The collection represented the bold and fierce modern woman through an exclusive range of rich prints and hues. The runway exhibited majestic and warm colours like emerald green, gold, pinks reds and dark purple. The best part of the fashion week was how each designer added a twist to the traditional Indian wear either by incorporating waistcoats, turbans, capes or belts. Also, smokey eyes and nude or red lips were popular among models. The overall show was glamorous, and the bold patterns, and contemporary collection didn’t fail to impress me.
Who was your favourite designer? Let me know in the comments below.
These saris have been part of the of the Benaras household since centuries. This tradition has been passed through generations when Indian women used to wear these hand woven silk beauties for special occasions like weddings. A typical piece takes months to finish based on the intricacies involved, which makes it riskier for the weavers, since by the time they finish a piece it may be out of fashion. That’s where Warp ‘n Weft comes in play by working from the grass-root level.
A special evening was organised on Wednesday 28th of September in London. The event was held at the Nehru Centre in London which promotes cultural exchange between India and UK. The centre has hosted several musical, dance and cultural events in the past. This was an exclusive invite only event promoting Benarasi culture, ethos and handicrafts by Warp ‘n Weft.
This month I tried the Asiana Beauty Box. I was sent one as a gift from the Asiana team. There are several beauty boxes in the market. What really sets Asiana apart from the others is that it has been curated keeping the Asian skin type and tone in mind. The box contains goodies for both skincare and makeup which include a cleanser, primer, eye shadow palette, lip/cheek colour, mascara and so on. The products have been picked keeping the dusky or Asian skin tone in mind by the in-house beauty editor. They have lots of premium products and well catered for any fashionista and beauty addict looking to try new products.

For instance – You can either pair a skater white dress with a black leather jacket and open toe boots for an edgy look or pair it with tan accessories like a belt and wedges for a casual look. Rock the effortless look at picnic in the park by throwing on a colorful scarf and sandals. If you are not big on accessories like bracelets and earrings then just add a pop of color by carrying a vibrant colored clutch and break the monotony.
It’s a fit ‘n’ flare dress with a pleated skirt and a cross over back. This piece is a classic with a light floral design. It is one of the most versatile outfits in my closet. I styled this outfit with a navy bag, black strappy heels and metallic jewelry. Gold or silver jewelry looks subtle and chic on a white dress. I wanted an elegant look so I lightly curled my hair and applied natural makeup and just focused on adding some color to the outfit with a bright lipstick.

Loch Ness: is the home of the world’s most famous monster, Nessie, a green creature which resides in the deep waters of the lake. But this does not stop tourists from visit the place, instead the story just adds to the attraction. You can a boat trip from Inverness or Fort Augustus and keep a look out for the large green monster.

You can easily dress up your simple striped dress for almost any occasion. Not sure how to dress up your striped dress?
With a black velvet choker: Chokers are in trend this season. Make the choker the start of the outfit and go minimal on other accessories. Instead of adding some color to my outfit I went for applying a bright shade of lipstick. Smokey eyes also look great with a choker and a striped dress.
