Spring brings the shedding off of the last layers of winter blues and also the layers of clothes that come with it. And while there still is a certain chill lingering, there is also pleasantness and the spirit of romance filling the air. H&M seems to have caught on with the nuances of fresh blooms and pastels to tell the tale of Spring 2019 through their latest collection. Let’s sneak a peek at some fashion and beauty looks to welcome the season of blossoms.
Look 1: Monochromatic Minimalism
A pair of slim-fit ankle length jeans with a loosely knit pastel sweater top emanate a cosy yet stylish vibe that is a perfect transition from winter to spring. The contrast of the blue of the denim against the pastel of the sweater top feels just right and the almost off-the-shoulder slouch of the sweater brings a touch of oomph to the whole look. Paired with pastel pumps and a half-up-half-down hairdo, this minimal yet chic ensemble is perfect for dewy spring brunches or crisp evenings sipping some exquisite wine, al-fresco. The classic black or even brown liner and natural lips complete this look with style.
You can glide through winter into spring with pops of colour too. Although pastels take centre stage this season, don’t be afraid to experiment with bright colours for statement eyes or lips. Add a ray of sunshine by packing your lids with a chrome yellow shadow and a swipe of moss green on the lower lashes, that make walnut eyes stand out. Apply lashings of mascara for the perfect flutter. The nude lip adds balance to make the eyes the defining statement of this make-up look. The half-up-half-down hairstyle frames the face beautifully, while also revealing the dewy high-points.
Nothing embodies romance better than some lace and soft curls. This lilac V-neck spaghetti dress is a bit flirtatious and the pastel hue adds innocence to the entire look. Perfect for date night, this piece is sure to make heads turn as you twirl in this fitted waist and flared skirt dress. The pastel pumps elevate the silhouette, even with the monochromatic theme. The intricacy of the lace throughout the dress and the frayed detail at the hem are what make this outfit unique. The ivory pearls on the collar necklace, which emulate the dew drops of springtime, and the matching bracelet, bring elegance to the look. The romance continues with a pop of brightness in the form of a stained, yet, saturated rose pout and nails to match. They mimic the freshness and blooms of spring. Add a little bit of mascara to frame the eyes and a highlighter on the high points for that glow. Hair flips with open soft curl tresses are bound to draw the attention of everyone who beholds this look that exudes romantic, angelic and spring vibes.
Spring is the time to leave your worries and the greys of winter behind. So get inspired by some charming knit wear or lace and up the ante with your spring wardrobe in 2019.
With the Spring-spun bonanza of merry sunshine, blooming flowers, and fresh fragrances comes an endless stream of sartorial inspiration. I love experimenting with trending Spring styles and try to incorporate my personal fashion preferences into every look. Here’s a list of my favourite Spring trends – read on for some Spring-fashion winners!
Frills Dress
Outfit Featured from Very.co.uk
The youthful vibrancy of frilly clothing is a perfect match to Spring-time merriment. Though some ladies avoid frilly clothing, fearing it may have them looking silly, if you style them right, rocking those frills is a cake walk. For my Spring frills look, I teamed up a black frilly dress with flat leather boots and statement earrings. The dark color of the dress and the minimalist accessorizing created an outfit that’s perfect for day outings as well as evening events. The final effect is cheery and youthful; perfectly reflecting the Spring season’s glory.
Jeans Jacket
Outfit Featured from Fatface.com
I love denim fabric and when in jacket-form, it’s even more delectable. Jeans jackets have made a comeback this season, and I’m loving it! You can wear jeans jackets as comfy accessories to dresses, jeans, shorts, and skirts. My go-to style is pairing a sleeveless jeans jacket with a printed dress or skirt to add depth to the outfit. The contrast of uber-feminine clothes with rugged denim accessories is bold, beautiful, and great for the inner-boho-diva in you.
Culottes

Culottes are Spring-fashion’s favourite child. They never go out of fashion and re-invent themselves year after year. Casual and comfy, culottes are a great option for daytime outings and informal evening dos. You can go in for printed or embroidered culottes for charming, feminine ensemble. For a more bold, androgynous look, go in for dark-hued, plain or striped pieces. Pair them with fitted tops for a morning outing and jumpers/jackets for evening-wear.
Star Print
Outfit Featured from Hush-uk.com
Floral motifs are Spring staples, but this year, the stars have taken over! The star print is trending and I’m all for it. In my starry look, I’m sporting a grey jumper with a huge star applique on the front. But there’s are loads of other options to choose from. Small-starry prints are great for flowy dresses and strappy blouses. Mid-sized colourful prints are great for quirky top and bottom wear. Large or single-print stars (like the one on my jumper) create a striking yet casual statement effortlessly. So find your kind of star print and have some fun with it!
Jeans with Statement Lining
Jeans from Hush-Uk.com
One would think that innovating with jeans is something of a lost cause. Everything’s been done, from funky colours and cuts, to embellishments and rips. But there’s a new trend brewing and it’s statement lining. The lining on jeans’ sides have become head-turning stylistics this Spring season. I’m wearing a pair with darkened and chafed lining for a casual, chic look. I’ve spotted several other interesting statement lining styles too. Beaded, pearl lining looks wonderful, as do embroidered and sequined linings. I’m sure to pick up some more denim with statement lining soon. What about you?
Floral Headbands

In the accessories department, one of the fascinating trends is of the floral headband. While a few years, floral motifs were a go-to for Spring clothes, shoes, and bags, they’re now oft used in hair accessories too. Floral headbands are a feminine quick-fix for any outfit. Yes, they’re not the easiest to pull off, but channel your inner princess and you’re good to go. I’ve worn floral headbands to daytime outings such as brunches and picnic. But you could also experiment with them as party accessories.
Belted Suits

If you’re wondering about some desi trends for this Spring season, I feel belted suits are quite charming. Blending a traditional style with western stylistics perfectly captures the essence of the modern woman. Team up a classic leather belt with a floor-length kurta and watch the magic happen! This fusion look is sure to win you many compliments, as it did for me. I wore a brown twisted-leather belt with a blue, printed kurta and matching dupatta. The brilliant sunshine and noontime beauty was the perfect accessory to my elegant belted suit.
Statement Jackets

Jackets are a great accessory all year ‘round. But wear them in Spring season and you’re bound to invite a lot of attention. I prefer to wear jackets that are off-beat in their stylistics – that makes you stand out from the crowd. I have a whole section of my wardrobe just for jackets and have put them to good use to beat the Spring-time chills. I’ve enjoyed wearing long printed jackets, short embroidered ones, and also some sleeveless styles. The point is to use jackets as elegant accessories to an otherwise simple ensemble. Yes, they bring the jazz to the outfit!
Crop Tops

Crop tops have arrived in a big, big way. They have been topping the chic charts since last year and Spring is just the time to whip them out. Ending just below the abdomen, allowing scintillating peeks at the midriff, crop tops can be fashioned to suit all kinds of looks for almost any occasion. Since summer has not hit us yet, I’ve been wearing longer crop-tops that do not expose the belly yet. They look great with jeans and skirts, and effortlessly stylish no matter what the occasion is.
Floral Prints
This is most certainly a no-brainer. Spring fashion and florals are a match made in heaven. Floral prints are one of those classic styles that I never want to shun. I love the delicate femininity that such motifs bring out in all kinds of clothing. While wearing floral tops, bottoms, and dresses, is rather familiar, if you want to experiment, go ahead and put on some floral accessories. Wear floral scarves, jackets, or even socks. You could also sport handbags, clutches, and hats with floral prints, to try something new. Simply put, if it’s springtime, you can’t go wrong with floral prints.
Statement Shoes

Nothing says fashion-forward like a pair of well-crafted shoes. If you want to make a statement with your Spring attire, make sure to stock up on some beautiful statement pieces that are hard to miss. I’ve got myself a pair of floral-print sneakers which perfectly complement my casual outfits. I’ve also been wearing a pair of silver brogues quite often, on account of their versatility. They go with casual as well as formal outfits and are quite the eyeball grabber, I must say. If you, too, want to Spring to be a fashion feast for you, do stock up on some statement shoes this season. You’ll not regret it!
So, here I’ve listed out my most favoured Spring trends. How about you lovely ladies? What have you been wearing in Spring 2018? Do share!
Trends and fashion keeps changing multiple times each year. Sometimes it gets tricky to keep up. But we’ve got you covered for this spring summer 2017 key accessories trend. This spring summer is all about experimenting and having fun, especially when it comes to accessories. From big chunky earrings to eccentric headbands, when it comes to accessories for spring 2017 it’s either go big or go home. There are a few key pieces this season which are a must have for every wardrobe.
Satchel Bag: When it comes to satchel bags ditch the simple solid coloured bag with a gold chain. Go for hippie prints or tassels. Micro bags are also in this season. If you don’t like to carry a big bag then go for an embellished micro bag.
Floral headband: There is something about flowers and spring. One is incomplete without the other. So a floral headband is a must in your spring collection. The floral headbands are elegant, ultra feminine and make for a great statement piece. Plus it looks so cute on everyone. You can even wear it for a music concert or Sunday brunch with your friends. It has a very boho, beachy and relaxed vibe.
Glasses: Summer is incomplete without your sunglasses. If you are going for a boho look opt for round frames like John Lennon. Colourful aviators and quirky glasses are in this season.
Strappy Sandals: Stilettos, boots and flip flops are not practical for everyday. Boots are more of winter wear, I prefer wearing stilettos for work or party and flip flops are very beachy. So invest in a pair of comfy strappy sandals. They look great with a skirt, a maxi or a mini dress, shorts and even your jeans and top. You can go for basic colours like black or brown, but do have one or two pairs in some trendy colour like silver, gold or pink.
Boho Jewelry: It’s time to get your inner boho diva out! Buy some colourful chunky jewellery and beaded necklaces. They look great when paired with a maxi outfit or even a loose blouse and jeans.
Boho Bags: Bohemian is all about freedom, femininity, colors and style. There are different types of boho bags you can invest in based on your style. Tassels are still in this season, if you love the trend then pick out a fringed bucket bag. If you prefer tote bags then go for a colourful printed cotton or jute bag. If you want to go bold this season then go for a printed bag with embellishments like pom-poms or mirrors to stand out. Let the bag be the star of the outfit by pairing it with a plain white dress or shorts and a t-shirt.
Scarf: Evenings can get a bit chilly even in spring. A vibrant colourful scarf will keep you warm and at the same time make your casual outfit standout. When it comes to scarves the ways in which you can pair them are unimaginable. You can even use a scarf as a cool headband.
What are you waiting for? It’s time to get your wardrobe spring-ready!
The Spring Season brings in new trends which we are dying to try and explore once the winter ends and the spring starts. The weather is finally getting warmer and more enjoyable. Now that we are heading into spring, we need some transition in our wardrobe too. Luckily it’s going to be a comfortable season for our feet. Sneaker is the ultimate shoe for your wardrobe this spring.
Plus what’s not to love about this trend. Sneakers are comfortable, versatile, practical, stylish and you can never have too many of them. I have always been someone who loves flat sandals, sneakers, or low block heels over stilettos which kills me by the end of the day.
From the midi dress to the classic t-shirt and jeans combo, sneakers look good with everything. Team them up your white low top sneakers with a floral maxi dress for a quick boho look. You can play around with your outfit by adding a few chunky bracelets or a belt around the waist. Give the traditional sneaker a twist by getting sneakers with a little glitter, emojis, embellishments, leopard print, logo or satin updates to effortlessly dress up an outfit.
Pair up your statement sneakers with ripped cropped jeans and an oversized knit jumper for a stylish look. Go for an all-white look by teaming a white turtle neck top with cropped white pants and low top white sneakers to make a statement this season. You can even pair the classic slip on shoes with playful prints with a maxi skirt and a neutral shade silk blouse for a coffee date with friends. Sneakers can also be worn at work. Team up a turtle neck sweater with a high-waisted pencil skirt and a suede jacket with sneakers in a neutral shade.
I also love to pair sneakers with baggy knit jumpers. It’s the ultimate cosy combination. You can tuck in an oversized knitted jumper with a pleated midi skirt or keep it casual with a high waisted pencil skirt and a pair of sandals for a classy street style look.
I teamed my Yellow Ribbed Lantern Sleeve Loose Knitwear from Romwe with a pair of washed jeans and low top white sneakers for a casual yet chic look. I added a chunky beaded necklace to my outfit to take it up a notch. The colours in my outfit are pretty basic and neutral, so I wore red lips to add some fun to my final look.If you have a long baggy knit jumper, then you can even pair it with tights and metallic sneaker for a night out in town with your girls. For a classic look, pair a knit sweat over a plaid shirt and jeans with low top sneakers and a tote bag. Now that you know how to get comfy this spring, its time to go out and experiment with casual and stylish looks this season.
Winter is finally coming down to its pleasantness, and in the fashion world, we are all geared up with the spring trends for 2017. Spring Summer Runway trends are bold and confident this year with metallic effects, bold lines and bright colours. Winter wear can get boring with the grey’s, blacks and blues. But you can break the monotony in your wardrobe by adding some vibrant accessories like a scarf, clutch, chunky bracelets, layered chains and more.
During this season when it’s chilly outside, I prefer adding a colourful or textured scarf to make the outfit fun. They are soft, warm and extremely cosy. Scarves are so versatile, and one can get them in all types of prints, colours and lengths. And the best bit is that there are endless ways one can wear them as. Replace it for a necklace or wear it as a headgear, a scarf is one of those things which can change your entire look.
You can layer it with your favourite jacket by tucking it inside the jacket and pairing it with your super skinny jeans and boots. If you are feeling lazy, then you can just toss it around your neck for a casual look. You can add contrasting colours by pairing a blue jacket with a vibrant red scarf, or you can play around with prints by adding a floral scarf over a solid-colored jumpsuit.
I created two looks from the scarves I got from Fatface. I love their scarves; they are great quality, soft and pretty. I paired a cable jumper in Ganache colour with dark blue jeggings also from Fatface with a brushed stripe mid-weight scarf. I draped the scarf around my shoulders for a casual look. This look is great when it’s cold outside. It’s oversized and thick, so it keeps me warm plus it’s super soft, so it feels great around your neck. I wore day-time smokey eyes with a lot of khol and a muted lipstick. You can even pair this scarf with a maxi dress. For a structured look wear a belt around your waist and drape the scarf around your shoulders for a day out.For my second look, I paired my two part floral spot snood scarf with my jumper and skinny jeans. This is a lightweight scarf which is stylish and perfect for spring. I wrapped the scarf around my neck in a double loop and kept it mid-length. In the double loop style, you loop the scarf twice around your neck and tie the loose ends under the loop for a structured look. You can see both the prints when you loop it like this; it keeps your hands free, it looks stylish plus it’s super easy.
I have intentionally kept the outfit the same, but you can see each scarf has made my outfit look different. Scarves can instantly change ones outfit and you don’t have to worry about wearing the same look again and again, as you play with textures and prints in scarves
Spring is already here and with summer just around the corner, I am very excited to explore new fashion trends this season. I believe that this is the perfect time of the year to experiment with new styles and let your own unique personality shine through. I, myself, love spring day dresses and long flowy skirts a lot, and thus the hunt for some new, chic outfits has already begun.
The current outfit I am adorning is from Joe Brown’s Spring-Summer Collection called Live a Colourful Life. Living up to its name, this collection has beautiful, uber-feminine pieces in light, summery fabrics and bright, colourful shades. The classic styling and vibrant hues make these clothes ideal for elaborate ensembles wherein you add in a touch of your own personality with accessories and makeup. I really like Joe Brown’s work and thus decided to treat myself to a lovely summer dress from their 2016 collection.
The dark pink floral Dragonfly Dress is inspired by these graceful winged creatures in Papagayo. The knee-length, semi-circular fall of the bodice and cotton jersey fabric make it a good choice for both day and night and can easily be transformed from day outfit to a sexy evening look. When I wore this dress, I teamed it with a statement necklace, beaded bracelet, and a matching pair of clutch purse and cardigan to cover up when the weather gets chilly which if you live in UK is bound to happen often. The day when I was wearing this dress the sun was shining in spite of the current chill in the weather hence you can see me wearing my favourite shades as well, it was hard to keep my eyes open against the sun. And remember colourful outfits can brighten a glum day and bring more colour to your cheeks, so don’t be afraid to experiment with colours this season – “Be Colourful & Cheerful”
So, how did you like this outfit? And what are you wearing this spring? I would love to know, so don’t hesitate to share your views!
Summer Style Tip – When wearing bold colours, make sure you have a few statement pieces paired along with it like jewellery or any other accessory and one keep it limited to just bold colour in the outfit. Let the colour and clothing stand out by choosing accessories that complement and don’t overshadow it.
Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year, when flowers bloom, gentle warmth embraces you and finally we all kiss the chilly winters goodbye. Those lovely coats and boots get pushed to the back of your wardrobe and your summery outfits come right out.
Personally, I love the winter months too. I wait for Autumn to arrive each year so I can wrap myself in a comfy coat and put on my cozy boots. But now that spring has arrived, I find myself gearing up to whip up my summer outfits, which if you follow my instagram account, are bright, beautiful and highly colourful.
So here’s my first OOTD for Spring 2016. And it’s from one of my favourite brands – Monsoon, which according to me, has the best spring and summer outfits. The dress I’m wearing is from their latest beach collection, and is a great pick for a peaceful stroll by the beach – ah, I’m dreaming of vacations already!
Equally causal and chic are my ghunaroo-embellished sandals. They are from Monsoon as well and what I love about them is that the ghungaroos add a unique, stylish touch, but make no noise that would draw too much attention while you walk, I like their nude colour which makes it so easy to pair them with all the bright coloured summer or spring outfits.
The accessories that you see –the necklace, the bracelet and the rings – are from Accessorize which is a sister brand to Monsoon. I have to say, their holiday accessories are quite lovely, and I tend to pick up a lot of stuff from Accessorize on every visit.
As you can see, I’m totally summer-ready – my spring-summer clothing is already out and I’m all set to have some fun in the sun. What about you?
Spring is just around the corner, and we’re counting down the days until the official first day of Spring. So you know what that means, ladies. It’s time to pack away your navy, grey, brown and black, and embrace a whole new wardrobe of colour!
Of course, some of us are bolder than others, and we all have different tastes. For some, we wear bright colours all through the winter, cos we just don’t give a damn. For others, the thought of wearing bright nail varnishes and shocking lipsticks is just about as much as we can take, let alone statement florals, pastels and neons.
So, here you have three simple ways to inject a bit of life (and by life I do, of course, mean colour) into your Spring wardrobe. And the beauty of all of these is you can go as loud, or as subtle as you like.
Accessories
Everyone loves accessories, and we all know that no outfit is truly complete without them. If you’re a little apprehensive when it comes to wearing a lot of colour, accessories can be a great place to start. However, if you love colour and couldn’t feel more comfortable in it, then accessories can add a whole extra dimension of colour to your look. Also, let’s not forget money. Of course, hitting the high street for a whole new Spring wardrobe is simply not a luxury that most of us have, but pick up a few new accessories, and not only will you transform last season’s clothes into hot-off-the-press looks, but you’ll actually feel like you have an entire new wardrobe for a mere fraction of the cost.
Shoes
If you’ve exhausted your standard accessories and want to make a slightly bigger statement, then there’s your excuse for a new pair of shoes. We all love shoes, and they are a great way to make a colourful statement without taking you a step too far outside your comfort zone. And if you’re not into your stilettos, fret not. Dozens of styles of flats, even trainers if that’s your bag, are available in a rainbow of colours to get you feeling colourful. What better way to give yourself happy feet this Spring!
Makeup
Now, colourful make up, especially when you’re not used to it, can be pretty scary. The trick is to practice at home first. Literally everyone can look great with a bright eyeshadow or lip colour, but it’s about finding the right colour for you, and finding a colour palette you feel comfortable using. There’s no reason you can’t spend every day looking and more importantly feeling a million dollars, and what better way to achieve this than to treat yourself to some real, high end make up. Quality is the key here, as cheap bright make up will look, well, cheap. Lip tints and powdered eye shadows are a good starting point as you can use as much or as little as you like, and layering is always an option. Just promise us one thing: get creative and have fun!
With Spring season upon us, good times are here! The weather is beautiful, your woolens are packed and out come some wonderful new trends to have you look stunning. Keep your wardrobe as fresh as the air outside, especially since much of this season’s international trends reflect a revival of forgotten styles, but of course, with a twist – seems like you need to reshuffle your wardrobe! Read on and find out which essentials you need to stock up on – after all, spring is your time to shine!
Colors
This season, couture goes colorful. And no, not in the technicolors and neons of Spring 2014, but with yellows, whites and blues in abundance. Runways have witnessed much monochromatic yellow and white clothing – striking and chic, even-toned outfits, jazzed up with layering and textures. Also, bid goodbye to the classic black-and-white combo now since blue is the new black. Blue and white can be your new go-to combination.
Denims
Say Hi! to the roomy denims you pushed to the back of your closet a long time back. Ever since the skinnies came in, those flared bottoms and baggy jeans have been sitting idle in some dark, unvisited corner. But now, no more. Inspired by the 70’s ramps, loose-fitting denims have been brought back (yes, your tightly-ensconced calves and thighs can breathe again!). Team them up with silhouette-defining blouses and tiny crop-tops for a chic, well-balanced look.
Prints
In 2015, two old-timers that have been restored as far as prints go. First are gingham prints, which no longer look like picnic-sheets and table-cloths; incorporated into sheer styles and blown-up silhouettes, these checkered beauties make for interesting day-wear. The second comeback pattern is the floral – soft, feminine and flirty as it is. Sported by many on the Oscars Red Carpet, this time around, bold floral is trending high. Looks lovely too, so go get them flowery-prints asap!
Necklines
When it comes to necklines, all-or-nothing is this season’s mantra. On the one hand, one-shoulder cuts have been making a terrific statement on all runways, be it in dresses, blouses, gowns or crop-tops. In stark contrast to that, high-necklines (which are atypical of Spring Fashion) are also much in vogue; striking and chest-enhancing, these are perfect for those fashionistas who like to be bold, beautiful and ever-experimental.
Footwear and Accessories
Your feet are in for a treat because comfy shoes are back! From sneakers to simple sling-backs, everything devoid of heels shall be a fashionable success this Spring. Give your heels a rest and let the flats out – sometimes, fashion and comfort do get along! With regard to accessories, Obi belts (Kimono-style cloth sashes) of medium width are quite the craze. Cinch your waist in with these when wearing formal suits or casual skater dresses, thus adding an extra touch of grace. Other than this, sporty knick-knacks such as wristbands, visors, drawstrings and zippered bags are quite the in-thing as well. Who said sportswear is just for the gym? Not Spring 2015!
So these are the styles that models have been rocking on the runways of high-end fashion brands. Adopt these to compliment your own fashion sense and don’t hesitate to try the unfamiliar. Think about it, if not for rejuvenating Spring, when else will you explore and experiment with new styles?
When cold winter days pass we all look forward to spring. That’s usually because you can finally take those three hundred layers of clothes off and get free from those shawls, caps and gloves that have been burdening you for the past two or three months. Spring is the best time for romance, your blood boils, you feel nature’s liveliness and you envy the beauty of gentle, soft flowers that bloom all around. Join the show and put on a romantic look for this spring following these great ideas.
There’s no romance without a little lace. Or a lot. Your choice. Lace gives a very feminine touch to your outfit. Whether you’re wearing a lace covered dress or have just a decorative detail on your leggings or a sweater, lace is essential for a gentle, soft look. Put on a white lace dress and spice it all up with a stylish brown belt. Or wear a sweatshirt with lace details. Match a lace shirt with skinny jeans and you’re ready for a nighttime spring walk. When the day is warm, put on a sleeveless lace top and peach-colored shorts. Just keep the colors bright, we’ve had enough of those grays and blacks throughout the winter.
Floral print
What better way to give out a spring spirit than wearing floral print? Celebrate flowers by wearing them. Flowers are gentle, colorful, cheerful and fragrant and everyone loves them. Just remember how happy you were the last time you got a bunch of flowers for present. That’s the symbolism of wearing them. Welcome the new season by wearing floral leggings with a single-colored slouchy shirt. There are so many beautiful floral print dresses available so go out and get one. If you want feminine yet bold try floral print shorts. Here’s an idea for a very clever and stylish outfit: white shirt, peachy blazer, jeans and floral print pumps. Just remember not to get too carried away – if you wear floral print piece of clothing you should only match it with single-colored clothes because you don’t want too many patterns screaming off of you.
Tulle skirts
Just like beach kaftans are essential for summer, so tulle skirts are a must-have for spring. The word comes from a city in France which was a centre of lace and silk production in the 18th century. Parisians were the first to wear it in their ballet costumes. Nowadays they are available for everyone and are certainly a major trend. From shorter to longer models, you can wear them on any occasion. Match them with flats and you’ll look innocent like a ballerina. Match them with pumps and you’ll look like a glamorous princess. You can even match a tulle skirt with a black-and-white striped top for an exciting combination of sporty and elegant.
Accessories
Firstly, remember that a romantic look requires soft, pastel colors like white, pink and blue. To complete your perfect spring outfit, wear a simple silver necklace. Pearls are also a very clever and classy idea. When choosing bags, clutch purses are the right choice for a romantic-looking lady. Be creative with belts and be sure to include ribbons and flowers to your outfit ideas and you’re ready for sping.

The winters are almost over and the last thing you would want to wear is a heavy, embellished saree during the sweet spring weather. But if traditional is the theme for the party, a Salwar-suit would make you look underdressed while a plain saree in a bold color would be too understated. That’s where digital printed sarees come to the rescue.
They are perfect for spring to summer season
Digital printed sarees are usually made of faux fabric or georgette. Both the fabrics are really light and airy. Not too body hugging and yet, conforming to the natural contours of the body, these sarees look really chic as party wear.
There are a lot of interesting patterns to be had
There are limitations as to what an artiste can print by hand. But when it comes to technology, sky is the limit. There are a whole range of patterns available in digital printed sarees. Floral patterns as well as patterns inspired from nature are the hottest trend right now in digital printed attire. A stand out in this trend is patterns which depict a whole scenery on this nine yard wonder.
However, if you don’t want to look too last season, avoid going for printed sarees that use disjointed colors. Rather, the trend this season is prints which have colors that flow in continuation. For example, a combination of blue and grey.
They are ideal for women who are slightly heavy too
Women who are slightly on the heavier side can also benefit from this light and chic fashion trend. The lightness of the fabric used in digital printed sarees has a slimming effect on your appearance.
Don’t forget to accessorize it well
Like any fashion trend, getting the accessories right is important here too. If you are going for a minimal print, you can jazz up your look further with digital printed handbags. However, if you have an elaborate print on you, keep your accessories to a bare minimum. A solid colored handbag in a complementing color and minimal earrings complete the look in that case.
While pastels and bright colored neon cloths and accessories are definitely a trend for spring summer 2012, another trend that has emerged from fashion weeks in India as well as elsewhere is white. In fact, the all white fairy tale look is one of the hottest trends to emerge this season.
Giving weight to that statement are this year’s Oscars, where a slew of celebrities turned up in all white, fairy tale ensembles. Some of the most notable ones were Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Octavia Spencer.
Lace is in too
Kate Middleton wore a lacy number on her wedding in a traditional white wedding dress. Lace is definitely in this season and not just for wedding dresses. While you go for a lacy white number, make sure you do not overdo it. Slight trimmings make you look elegant and fairy like.
Go for light weight or sheer fabrics
While an all white ensemble can make you look angel like, if it is too heavy, you can end up looking like a marshmallow. Light weight fabrics are what you want to go for with this look. And if you really can carry it off, sheer fabrics in white are the ultimate in elegance and grace.
There is more to it than an evening gown
An evening gown in all white is definitely what fashion fairy tales are made of. But that’s not the only look you have to choose from. A little white dress with elegant cuts works just as well.
Avoid it if you are on the heavier side
Black is the favorite friend of many around the world who want to hide their bulges and extra fat; and white is their worst enemy. White has the exact opposite effect of what black has. It can reveal things that you wouldn’t like to be revealed. If you are on the heavy side of things, avoid going for an all-white look.
Avoid red lipsticks and other bright shades
If the fairy tale look is what you are targeting, stay away from bright shades of lipsticks such as reds and purples. Instead, keep it subtle with nude shades. And nude is what you should go for in underwear too. For reasons self explanatory of course.
You can always add a pop of color
It is spring and it is the season of colors. While bright colors of lipstick are always a complete no-no with an all white ensemble, there are other ways to add a dash of color. For example, a bright orange hat works well for a day out with friends. Accessorize your fairy tale look with something vibrant to add a new dimension. But make sure you keep it to a bare minimum.
It was sometime last year that the first lady of the US, Michelle Obama, was seen flaunting a pair of colored jeans. But it wasn’t to be a one-off event in the world of fashion. It was quickly followed by Hollywood A-listers such as Cameron Diaz, Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and the likes, flaunting jeans in bright reds, baby pinks, bright yellows et al.
If you are a fashionista yourself, colored jeans are the way to go this spring season. Spring is the season of flowers and brightness all around, and a pair of jeans in bright color is the perfect way to complement the season.
While the combination of basic blue denims with a white top is still classic, colored jeans can bring out your playful and fun side.
Wear them right
Jeans are available in almost every color wash. And while the skinny look is in in-thing right now, but you can always try more relaxed looks with colored Khakhis. If you are not convinced about the whole colored jeans trend, you can always start off on a safe page and go for muted pastels.
Colors like browns and olives work well for the conservative dresser. Team up a pair of pastel colored jeans with a bright top and you are good to go for a day out with friends. If you don’t mind experimenting and would love to flaunt your vibrant, playful side, go for a pair of jeans in bright red, sexy orange, deep purple or even in washed pink- something carried off really well by Cameron Diaz.
For the top, you could either go for color blocking or keep it a little toned down with neutral colors for the top. In other words, bright red jeans would work well with a bright blue top as well as one in white or black.
However, make sure you pick the right cut of the top, one which complements your jeans right. If you are wearing a skinny pair, go for something less form fitting on the top and vice versa. As for the accessories, a touch of animal print in shoes and bags works well with this look.
Personal favorite is a pair of neon orange colored jeans teamed with a white cotton top and brown wedges, giving you lots of oomph and grace.
