If you follow my blog, you probably know that I’m a fitness enthusiast to the very core. I like to live a healthy lifestyle, which sometimes, given my busy schedule and numerous commitments, isn’t too easy.
But I manage to eat right, exercise and mediate on most days. It really helps that in this day and age, there are a lot of commercial initiatives that can aid your wellness goals. And Luscombe Drinks is one such production that brings you a sure step closer to good health and organic living.
Let me tell you a little bit about the Luscombe Drinks team. A family business that is the brain-child of Gabriel David, this company is known for their minimally-processed natural drinks, made from the finest fruits and flowers. I came across their soft drinks recently and fell in love with them.
I tried their Sicilian Lemonade, Strawberry Crush and Wild Elderflower Bubbly. The Sicilian Lemonade is this sharp, citrusy drink with a hint of vanilla that gives you an immediate kick. It makes for a great drink after a long, hot day in summertime. Strawberry Crush, on the other hand, is perfect for long, cool evenings. Its sour-sweet taste is a tangy mood-setter and complements salty snacks and hors d’oeuvre brilliantly. But my personal favourite is the Wild Elderflower Bubbly which is like a blast of flavour with just a hint of fizz. I have served it at parties and it has been a great hit – better than your average soda; yummier and more healthy even!
I believe that the reason Luscombe Drinks are so addictive is because the makers’ emphasize all too strongly on quality and taste. Their ingredients are sourced from the best of places and small batches are prepared in one go to maintain levels of freshness. Often, their drinks are sedimented too, so you know there are no additives at all. I’ve just tried three flavours so far but given how delicious they are, I’m sure the others taste absolutely yummy too.
I’m going to be trying new flavours as soon as possible and what’s best is, it’s a guilt-free indulgence. What’s better to snack on than natural beverages filled with fruity goodness? These soft drinks strike the right balance between taste and healthiness which makes them an ideal addition to my daily diet. I’m all for Luscombe Drinks now. What about you? Would you want to try?

Now, having tasted the Treat Kitchen’s gobsmacking goodies, I can’t wait for their new store to open in Coventry. Mark the date, you all – August 27 is the day. Even though the brand is just 8 months old, they have been quite successful in creating a sizable customer-base. This is primarily because once you have been exposed to their exquisite products, you just cannot settle for something lesser!
Though there are dozens of reasons to love Farrington and Forbes fragrance collections, I’m a loyal customer now for 3 reasons. One, the quality of their products is significantly superior. When I browsed through the website, I was immediately attracted to numerous pieces and sets, for myself as well as for gifting purposes. I naturally ended up ordering a few things and now that they have arrived, I am just so thrilled at my purchases. I bought a sterling silver necklace with three silver stars which is beautifully crafted with a lovely rhodium finish. The delicate stars look so elegant and pretty when worn on a low neckline! Even better is a set of mother-and-son bracelets embellished with black onyx and silver-plated ball beads. I bought it for my son and me, and both of us love these matching beauties.
When I got my hands on the Rose & Pomegranate Hair Care Kit, I couldn’t contain my excitement! Imagine a heavenly combination of rejuvenating rose and anti-oxidant rich pomegranate, which complement each other wonderfully and work together to create magic for your mane.
You have to agree; phone covers are no longer meant simply for protection of your phone. They are now part of your ensemble – a fashionable accessory that in its own way is an expression of your personality. I have an iPhone and recently bought some really awesome covers which I felt I must share with you all.
There are numerous retailers out there selling phone covers but Clara Cabrera’s range is what caught my eye. In fact, I purchased two in one go! One is called “It’s fishy, fishy!” and has a light blue background offset by tiny floating fish. The other is called “Pink Panda Pattern!” and has cutesy panda faces on a pink base. I have been alternating between the two covers for a while now. I have to admit, they are made of nice, sturdy material that does not show much signs of wear and tear despite daily usage.
So I went through the entire collection and found so many covers I wanted to buy. I think what sets Clara’s collection apart is the interesting colours and unique patterns. This young entrepreneur has designed all 21 patterns herself, which are available for various iPhone and Samsung models. She is clearly a passionate individual with an inclination towards art and craft. Today she happens to be a freelance designer and illustrator who works on all kinds of business designing and merchandising projects. She has also written a fantasy trilogy “Baile de Damas” which further convinces me of her creative bent of mind.
Personally, never before have I been too interested in phone covers. But after using “It’s fishy, fishy!” and “Pink Panda Pattern”, I find myself drawn to them at so many stores. So far, I haven’t found any that appeals to me more than these. But when and if I do switch, I’ll keep you posted. I selected the ‘Morpankhi Feather Painted Juttis In Bright Fuchsia’ for their lovely, vibrant colour. I started by pairing them with a deep blue, bird printed dress. The fauna-inspired print feels fresh and is absolutely perfect for the warm weather. I threw on a nautical-style striped jacket for some extra cover. I am totally feeling big, bold stripes this season – they are on-trend and super easy to pair with anything and everything! Plus, mixing prints makes for a very interesting, quirky look. The trick is to mix prints that are completely different and either perfectly complement or completely contrast each other in terms of colour. I opted to work with prints that fell into the white and blue colour scheme, throwing on a spotted scarf to finish off my look. This ensemble is perfect for a warm afternoon spent shopping with your girlfriends, strolling through the park or simply running errands while looking chic.
The loose powder comes in an elegant box with a silver cap having the classic Dior quilted finish and brand-name embossing. The packaging is fairly sturdy and can be carried in your purse, but I think they could have made it more travel-friendly. It comes with a white puff which is great for fuss-free application, though I usually use a foundation brush, especially when putting it on at home.
What I love about this product is that is gives the face a nice matte finish, without drying out less oily areas like the cheeks. I don’t have to worry that the mattifying effect will leave my T-zone non-greasy but make the rest of my face look dull and lifeless; trust me, that happens with a lot of such products!
There is one problem though – the powder is somewhat shimmery. And that’s okay if you’re wearing it on an evening out or to a party. But for office-wear, this may not be the ideal choice. I usually keep my makeup subtle at work and the distinctive sheen of this loose powder is hard to miss in well-lit rooms.
The easy-absorb formula comes in white color and has an amazing aroma similar to that of parma violet flower. All you need to do is to apply it on the face and neck with fingertips and massage with gentle movements and it gets right in the skin. The formula is fast absorbing yet non-greasy which makes it suitable for all skin types.
