The off shoulder style is one of the biggest spring fashion trends this season. From dresses to tops to jumpsuits off shoulder styles are there everywhere. Off shoulder tops are one of the most versatile options that one can have in their wardrobe. You can play around with it and dress it up or play it down with your accessories. They are super cute and work for everyone. I also find them to be sexy in a sophisticated manner since you show a little skin strategically.
I am sport a navy blue lacy off shoulder top with white capri’s. The top are intricate floral lace and ruffle on top. I wanted a super casual look so I opted for bare minimum accessories. I wore brown sandals, studs for earrings and a bracelet. Since I was going for a casual look I went for natural and subtle makeup as well. I paired my outfit with a pink lipstick and some blush.
There are several ways one can carry off the off shoulder trend. For a super casual look for can pair an off shoulder top with boyfriend jeans and a pair of slip on shoes or pair it with an A-line midi skirt for a vintage look.
Off shoulder tops come in various shapes and sizes you can sport a spaghetti strapped off shoulder dress with skinny ripped jeans, sandals and a long necklace for a super stylish look. For a boho look or when attending a music concert you can sport an off shoulder crop top, choker, bunch of bracelets, printed shorts, boots and a fancy hat.
Off shoulder can also be worn to work. You can layer an off-the-shoulder top over a blouse with trousers. You can tie your hair in a sleek ponytail or a bun. If you have a meeting then you can throw on a blazer over your off shoulder top and keep your face makeup free. For a bold look you can pair a solid colored off shoulder top with printed pants for a cool look. If you are a fan of flared jeans you can wear it with a loose off shoulder top, multi layered necklace and wedges for a retro look. You can also make a regular tee into an off shoulder top by tying it on one end and letting the opposite side fall down your arm.

There are millions of ways in which one can style an off shoulder top. Which style is your favorite?

On such days, keeping your look simple is the way to go. But you’ll probably object that lazy or not, you always need a little bit of jazz. After all, you are a trendy diva, aren’t you? Ordinary turnout is not your thing. Neither is it mine. So I arranged a quick-fix that would turn my plain, comfy outfit into statement attire which screams “casual chic”. I put on some classy fashion jewellery and immediately, I felt and looked so much better!
And that’s when I decided; I must do a post on how to glamorize simple attire using classy, contemporary jewellery. As you can see, I’m wearing a pair of fitted, basic blue jeans by Next and a striped blue-and-black kaftan top by COs Stores. I wore string sandals to match my informal clothing and stayed away from all accessories other than some light jewellery.
The pieces I am wearing – the beaded necklace, the charm bracelet and the statement rings – are all by an up and coming brand Deevara Jewels. I first encountered their collection at the Bollygoods Show this year and was instantly captivated. You see, even though the brand makes only contemporary fashion jewellery, there is something very elegant and exclusive about it. It doesn’t look like junk jewellery you bought off the streets – it is beautiful and subtle and very fashionable!
The red and white beads of the necklace offer a contrast to the black and blue beneath. Since the top has a boat-neck hemline, it’s perfectly suited for a long neckpiece. The silver bracelet too went well with the colour scheme. The delicate charms and multiple wrap-around strings make my wrist look more dainty. Both statement rings have a chunky stone set in German silver. This adds a wee bit of rustic appeal to the otherwise uber-modern outfit.
And this is what I love about Deevara Jewels’ – their unique approach to jewellery design. Their pieces are a fusion of classic aesthetics and contemporary stylistics. They bring something new to the table and that, to me, is very alluring. They use semi-precious stones for creating Indo-fusion jewellery that is spectacular yet affordable. Currently based out of Denham, Deevara’s collection can be accessed through their Facebook Page and Instagram accounts. I’m adding the links so may check them out too!

I came to realize that your outfit plays a major role in determining your state of mind. If you’re comfortable and at ease in it, you’ll be all fired up to complete your chores. If it’s very elaborate and discomforting, you’ll be distracted all day, trying to keep your clothes in check.
The colour of the jumpsuit makes it a good choice for both daywear and evening dos. I have worn a white and orange crop top underneath and avoided a longer blouse/shirt. This is because with long top-wear, the chances of its hemline showing through the jumpsuit are high and that looks shabby. If you want, you can even forego the crop top and simply wear a bodysuit underneath instead.
I usually go for this jumpsuit when I either have a lot of household work to do or am going to be spending much time in the outdoors. I love wearing this combo for treks or hikes since it not just allows me to move freely, but also protects my skin from the sun while having me look quite trendy. You can also wear it when out for shopping, ferrying the kids about or even to a casual event.

Recently, I styled a gorgeous, blue striped linen shirt dress from Zara for a day out in the city. The shirt dress exuded an effortlessly stylish and relaxed vibe, so I paired it with a chain-strap crossbody bag for some extra pizzazz. I finished off the look with pair of statement shoes, a cute fedora hat and some beautiful minimalistic jewellery by
Having said that, you could easily wear the shirt dress in the evening by cinching it with a smart belt to add more shape and finishing the look off with bolder statement jewellery and some sexy heels. Remember, the shorter the hemline, the smaller the heel! If you want a more modest look or it’s simply cold outside, you could even throw on a pair of sheer leggings below a classic shirt dress. Finish it off with a trusty leather jacket and you’re good to go.

Personally, I find that when it comes to shirt dresses, a looser fit is always more flattering on every type of body. And by ‘loose,’ I don’t mean ill fitted, but one that allows for freedom of movement. There are plenty of styles, silhouettes and shades available, so look around for something that fits your own personal sense of style. Have fun playing around with different accessories and complimentary pieces that can amp up your look, and make this trend your own!
The designs are inspired by the rich, vibrant heritage of India – you will see this influence in everything from the painted patterns to the bright colour palettes that are incorporated into the design of the Juttis. The end result? Footwear that combines the best traditional symphony and contemporary style – it’s elegant, it’s quirky and it’s downright fashionable.
I selected the ‘Morpankhi Feather Painted Juttis In Bright Fuchsia’ for their lovely, vibrant colour. I started by pairing them with a deep blue, bird printed dress. The fauna-inspired print feels fresh and is absolutely perfect for the warm weather. I threw on a nautical-style striped jacket for some extra cover. I am totally feeling big, bold stripes this season – they are on-trend and super easy to pair with anything and everything! Plus, mixing prints makes for a very interesting, quirky look. The trick is to mix prints that are completely different and either perfectly complement or completely contrast each other in terms of colour. I opted to work with prints that fell into the white and blue colour scheme, throwing on a spotted scarf to finish off my look. This ensemble is perfect for a warm afternoon spent shopping with your girlfriends, strolling through the park or simply running errands while looking chic.

If you’re heading to work, you can switch up the blouse with a crisp white shirt instead – a classic staple piece that will never go out of style. When the weather is cooler, I love to toughen up my outfit by pairing feminine skirts with a bold leather jacket. So much oomph.

I wanted to create a casual, carefree look, so I decided to play around with this trend myself. And what better time than the start of spring? I styled my floral headband with a gorgeous bohemian maxi dress – the lovely print and strapless style of the dress made it perfect for the ‘bohemian chic’ vibes that I was going for. I absolutely love the free-spirited, flirty feel of this dress, and the colour combination of blue and white screams summertime.

I even pushed my hairs into a ponytail to make sure they looked sleek.

Now the thing is, off late, I’ve been missing my home back in India quite a bit. I’ve been living in UK for a while now and while I love my home, my workplace and the culture here, the unique environs of India make me a victim to nostalgia. Funny as it may be, in such times, wearing stuff from the (rather huge) ethnic section of my wardrobe makes me feel awesome. And this brings me to the fusion outfit you see me wearing here.

All I can say is that I’m so glad I got this pair Panache juttis. I can’t stop thinking of the numerous outfits I can pair them with. What about you? What’s your favourite Indo Western mix?

As always, February is a very cold month in London and it was much more windy that I had anticipated (you will see what I mean as you see my #ootd pictures!) so it was important that I stay fashionable and cosy.

Having been more fashion conscious than practical and walking around in heels on the first day of London Fashion Week, I was ready to give my aching feet a well-deserved rest. I was so glad that I had remembered to pack my flat Aldo shoes! I always make sure that I pack at least one pair of flat shoes when I travel, especially when I am going to be on my feet all day long. London is all about walking, whenever I travel to London I love taking lazy strolls around, its such a place that you never grow out of it. The day started out rather pleasant, but ended with buckets on rain. In fact, I had to duck into a hotel for lunch to simply find some cover.

Day 3
We visited the London Bridge, Westminster Abbey and finally, Tate Britain. Strolling around the galleries is definitely one of my favourite things to do in London. This day definitely reminded me of my love for London – it is one of my favourite cities in the world and a place where I truly feel at home. I can’t wait to be back!

So this is what I did; on my day trip to Historic Stratford upon Avon, known for being the birth place of Shakespeare, I styled their geometric print jacket with a bold cobalt blue top. It is a sophisticated outfit which is striking no doubt, yet very much on trend as well. I have styled this top with a slim black trouser and matching pair of platform shoes. I chose to wear platform shoes for they are easy to walk in; the perfect choice when I know I will be taking long strolls in beautiful parks. I accessorized with a silver statement necklace in geometric design to add glamour to the whole look.
