MeeBox Feb 2016 Box Review

Today I’m reviewing a beauty box that I really enjoyed using. MeeBox is exclusively for the nail nerds. It comprises of only nail-care and nail-art products and is available with two kinds of subscription packages. You can either go in for a monthly subscription at £20 or save £6 with a quarterly subscription of £54.MeeBoxI personally love the concept of subscription boxes. They expose you to new brands and products which you may not have bought off a store otherwise. These are the sort of products you see at a store, are extremely fascinated by too, but always forgo in favour of a tried and tested product. A beauty box is like a blind purchase where you are pushed out of your comfort zone and try new things.Meebox FebSo, when I got this MeeBox in my mail, I was super excited to open and see what’s inside. The anticipation and final reveal in itself was quite thrilling. Even before I unpacked it though, I was quite impressed by the sturdy yet beautiful packaging. Inside, there were four products, wrapped in a confetti-themed paper and when I got past the cuteness of it, this is what I found inside:

  • Smith and cult £19
  • Leighton Denny £11
  • Nails Inc £14
  • Sparkly nails £1.50
  • Plus Chanel (for those who received it) £18

Meebox Feb 2016As you can see above, the RRP of these nail products totals at approximately £63.50 which is far more than the price of this MeeBox. And each of the polishes was a distinct, lovely shade. The peach Smith and Cult is great for a soothing, office look. The red Leighton Denny would go well with a party outfit and the gold, sparkly Nails Inc makes for a great top coat. For those who love nail art, the Sparkly Nails crystals are perfect for making patterns over your polish; trust me, when you start with that, nail painting becomes so much more fun!MeeBox-Nail-StyleI really liked this MeeBox because there was a wide range of products and you’d be sure to find something to your liking, no matter what your personal style is. As soon as I opened it, I began experimenting and you can see the results in this picture of my newly-done nails. Don’t they look great?Meebox-NailsInc

An Affair with Marks & Spencer, London

I’ve been an M&S fan for as long as I can remember. I simply love their high couture fashion and on-trend collections. I have shopped around in M&S stores in India a lot, and now in UK as well. My first visit to Marks & Spencer Marble Arch Store this week, had me in complete awe. I felt spoilt for choice when it came to selecting something from their On Trend Collection. I digress, but Marks & Spencer always has a very appealing stock which guarantees expert tailoring. You can rarely go wrong when it comes to their selection of styles!Marks and Spencer Style Post- Geometric

One prominent trend visible in M&S’s current collection was geometry-inspired styles. That is not surprising for the red carpet has seen a lot of such cutting-edge geometrical prints in the recent past. Naturally, celebrity fashion has caused this particular trend to trickle down to the masses. Catwalk couture has made bold, elegant geometrical prints, teamed with contrast-panelled jackets/skirts, the effortlessly-chic-look of the season. Pairing computer calculated patterns with figure-hugging miniskirts has also been a hugely popular trend, both on & off the ramp. And that’s not all; of late, geometrical prints with bright, contrasting colours, worn with structured jackets, are being deemed the chicest attire. Since this trend has been garnering wonderful response from the fashion police, I thought I really must experiment with it too, and M&S was perhaps the best place to start!

It is a sophisticated outfit which is striking no doubt, yet very much on trend as well. I have styled this top with a slim black trouser and matching pair of platform shoes. I chose to wear platform shoes for they are easy to walk in; the perfect choice when I know I will be taking long strolls in beautiful parks. I accessorized with a silver statement necklace in geometric design to add glamour to the whole look.Marks and Spencer Style Post - Geometric 4

The visit to Woolacombe Hotel for afternoon tea with friends was a nice, relaxing touch to the day. You can donn this (don this) effortlessly chic look for office too, or style it with accessories for it to work as an office-to-night look.Marks and Spencer Style Post - Geometric 5

Miss Santa Fancy Dress – OOTD – #ItsChristmas

We all like to have a bit of fun when it comes to parties and this one of my inspirations for the Christmas time festivites when we all get to dress up. I chose Miss Santa and if you’re wondering  why – well, because I wouldn’t be able to  a Father-Christmas-attire justice for obvious reasons.  And also, Father Christmas shouldn’t be alone, so I’ll give him company ;-).
