Let’s Bring Some Wedding Magic To Life, Your Perfect Gift To Make Those Memories Last Forever

When it comes to beautiful jewellery, Links London is one of my favourite brands, for their unique designs, dedication to craftsmanship and commitment to using the finest materials, and when I laid my eyes on their new wedding collections, I fell in love, and truthfully, the pieces took me back to my own special day as well.

Your wedding is one of the most important moments in your life – not only because of the beautiful union that marriage entails, but also, because of the people who are present in the moment. The happiness that you feel in celebrating your special day with loved ones is incomparable, and the memories last forever. For a bride, the ladies by her side – her bridesmaids on the big day – are some of the most important people at the wedding. And what better way to remind them of your love and appreciation for them, than with a gift that will always be associated with the memories of the wedding? And that’s where Links London comes into play.

Their wedding series features gorgeous pieces of jewellery that would make the perfect bridesmaid gift (or if you’re a bridesmaid, the perfect bridal gift!). In the run-up to wedding season, I decided to bring some wedding magic to life and choose three of my favourite pieces from the collection to style into a chic bridesmaid look.

The first pieces that caught my eye were the Sterling Silver and Blue Diamond Stud Earrings. I loved these for their subtle sophistication – the hint of the blue and O-shaped style of the earrings makes them different from classic studs and allows them to be dressy enough to wear at a formal event like a wedding. And after the wedding is over, you can continue to wear them out and about – whether it’s for a brunch date with your girlfriends (to catch up on wedding details!), or even, to work. I chose to pair the earrings with Hope necklace in silver – another simple piece that complements a wedding ensemble in an elegant way.

Finally, for some arm candy, I chose the Diamond Cuff in silver. I loved the open style of this cuff and the fact that you can wear it on its own, or layer it with other bracelets or your watch. Either way, it looks beautiful on the wrist and is very comfortable to wear.

Of course, when you have jewellery this beautiful, you must wear the pieces with an outfit that is equally gorgeous. For this bridesmaid look, I wore a lovely floor-length dress. The jewellery pieces pulled the entire look together, creating the perfect bridesmaid ensemble – simple, sophisticated and subtle. This outfit took me back to happy, fun-filled memories of some of my best friends’ weddings and now, I am eager for a wedding to come up so that I can recreate this look again!

The Links London wedding series features many more products, including the Narrative Cuff, which can be engraved, the Sweetie collection, where you can add charms to the pieces and the Splendour collection which features beautiful jewellery pieces a four-point star motif. Whether you’re looking to gift something special to a bride-to-be or to your favourite ladies who are going to be your bridesmaids, you don’t need to look any further than Links London for the perfect piece of jewellery that will capture memories to last a lifetime.

Tru Diamonds – The Cosmopolitan Woman’s New Best Friends

We’ve all grown up hearing (and possibly believing) that diamonds are a girl’s best friends. But recently, I came across jewellery by Tru-Diamonds and was forced to reconsider this widely-held belief.

So let me introduce you to the philosophy that guides this enterprise. Tru-Diamonds sells high- quality man-made gemstones that are so finely crafted, they are virtually indistinguishable from mined diamonds. In fact, these Swiss-made gems are produced under such stringent criteria with top-grade techniques that they are found to be superior to 96% of mined diamonds in terms of colour and clarity.

And let me tell you, this is not all hearsay. I’m the proud owner of a Tru-Diamonds 1 ct Tiffany Style Solitaire Ring myself. I have been wearing this ring for more than a week now, and not one person I have come across could imagine that it wasn’t a genuine solitaire piece. Seriously, I doubt even a certified jeweller would be able to tell the difference without a proper scrutiny of my gorgeous ring.

I’m now a firm believer that jewellery by Tru-Diamonds is a much better buy than that made of mined diamonds for several reasons. For one, their gems are ethically produced, so you are spared the guilt of sporting “blood diamonds”. Also, this jewellery is far more economical, though there is little difference in its appearance. I mean, think about it – my ring cost just about £149 while the equivalent product at Tiffany’s would drain me of over £10,000; isn’t Tru-Diamonds jewellery then a far better deal? I don’t have to worry about insurance to keep it safe or even worry too much about losing it. This is actually one of the reasons why such jewellery is becoming very popular amongst celebrities as well. I mean, who wants to hassle themselves with wearing exorbitantly-priced jewellery, only to worry about it getting lost or stolen?

But what I like about Tru-Diamonds even more is that they promise buyers a 90-Day trial period, 100% Refund, Lifetime Warranty and Easy Payment Options too. As someone who is spending money on a luxury purchase, you are completely protected, with absolutely nothing to worry about. What more can one ask for?

Frankly speaking, I’m quite taken in by the whole concept of Tru-Diamonds. I have been browsing through their range of jewellery which has a lot of classic as well as trendy pieces that I can totally see myself wearing. I’ve already zeroed in on my next purchase too! And why not? This jewellery is great for personal usage as well as gifting, and the availability in standard UK sizes makes it convenient to order online too. If you are on a budget this is a great alternative engagement ring saving you lot of money towards the deposit of your first home or that dream wedding

So what do you think? Would you go in for this ethically produced “super-gem” jewellery? I know I would.

Kundan Jewellery – A Trend For Ever

Coming straight from the tradition of ancient Indian art of jewellery making, Kundan has seemed to represent the traditional cultural heritage of the country over the years. With impeccable jewels and finest of gold being used to manufacture a unique class of jewellery, Kundan promises to be a trend for the years to come. The embellishment of only the royal class, now Kundan has assumed an important role in contemporary fashion circles too. Being inspired by the royal tradition, the Kundan jewellery art seems to surely inspire several fusion and haute coutre trends. With the grace of Maharani Gayatri Devi, the jewellery offers scope for a beautiful Elizabethan elegance.

Various Kundan jewellery options are now open for women who are not afraid to go back to their roots and add a dash of royal touch to their dressing sense.

1) Anklets and bracelets

A perfect accessory for any woman, anklets and bracelets in Kundan can be a vibrant add-on to an Indian attire as well as a Western one. Worn with sarees, they do add a tinge of grace to the traditional attire but with a Western casual outfit they offer a pleasant contrast and fuse well.

2) Necklaces

An assortment of colours across an intricately woven pattern of gold, necklaces in Kundan art form go well with only traditional attire. Teamed with lehengas, skirts, sarees, suits and bridal wear, they enhance the grace and poise of the woman. Brighter colours on lighter shades of clothes and vice versa help to add an intensity to the look. You can experiment with chokers and raani haars too. Chokers, in a minimalist work pattern can go with a Western attire like a tunic but raani haars should strictly be restricted to sarees to be worn on festivals, marriages or similar traditional occasion.

3) Jhumaka (earrings)

The Kundan earrings with the minakari work on them can go well with sarees and salwar kameez but you can take a leap in experimentation and team them up with Jodhpur designs with a bright skirt to achieve that perfect bohemian look. Excellent examples of Kundan craftsmanship, these jhumkas also go well along the traditional bridal wear.

4) Rings and Bajuband

While bajubands are restricted only to formal family occasions to be teamed up best with sarees and lehenga-cholis, surely you do not want to miss out on the fun of experimenting with the brilliantly embellished rings and teaming them up with a motley of dresses and co-ordinate a variety of styles with them. The idea of a sapphire embedded ring with a LBD is equally exciting as the possibility of wearing a navaratna ring with a white emroidered saree.

With the Old and Royal art of Kundan, the possibilities and further experimentation depends on your sense of style. Go for Kundan if you want to intensify the poise and elegance of your look with the never-exhausting range of colours and patterns.
